Recording your Idaho POA

Idaho requires (or permits) recording of the POA at the office of the county recorder in the county where the property lies when it covers real property. See Idaho Code §55-806 (the agent's instrument cannot be recorded until the underlying power of attorney is filed for record in the same office).

Recording isn't required for a POA used only for financial accounts, but it's needed before your agent can sell, lease, or mortgage real estate on your behalf.
